Highest % of poverty ever, kids in poverty doubled.

Highest personal avg personal debt ever; people are using credit to afford groceries.

Highest number of welfare recipients ever.

Highest number of multiple job workers ever.

Highest % ever that cannot afford the avg house.

Highest energy and food costs ever.

But hey; some hedge fund managers are making the average income look niiiceeee.

But people will look at their checking account & credit card accounts in Nov, and decide which lever to pull.

Highest number of {X} ever.

You really show a deep understanding of how statistics are often higher than any previous time.

Congrats.

Nice analogy.

I’d love to see if you see a fundamental difference between annual movement of your economic statistics and earth’s average annual temps.

Go ahead.

Just throw crap at the wall and see what sticks. It shows that you can't accept that we've actually had a very good recovery from the Trump-pandemic recession (an actual hellscape, not the fake one you made up)

"Highest % of poverty ever, kids in poverty doubled."

Ummmm, no. The poverty rate is at 11.5%, very low by historical standards.
https://www.census.gov/newsroom/stories/poverty-awareness-month.html

"Highest personal avg personal debt ever; people are using credit to afford groceries."

Oh please. Here's Debt service payments as a % of disposable income at about the same level as pre-pandemic.
https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/CDSP

"Highest number of welfare recipients ever."

Food stamp usage was actually higher after the great recession. It did come down during the back end of the Obama presidency, and pre-pandemic. But it started to rocket back up in 2020, when you know who was president (hint: the fat orange clown who actually bankrupted a casino)

"Highest number of multiple job workers ever."

There were actually higher percentage of this pre-pandemic than there are now.
https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/LNS12026620

"Highest % ever that cannot afford the avg house."
"Highest energy and food costs ever."

Blah blah blah....

You can’t argue against the FACT that since Biden took office, housing prices have doubled and the interest rates almost tripled. Gas is higher and has been higher since he took office. Groceries are higher since he took office. Those are FACTS. Voters care about that. Add in the disaster at the border and the political persecution of Trump. The result of that is Trump punishing the primary. When a 18 months ago he really didn’t have a chance.

Most of the oil produced in the U.S. fields in Texas, Oklahoma, and elsewhere is light and sweet, compared to what comes from the Middle East and Russia. The problem is that for many years, imported oil met most of the U.S.’s energy needs, so a large percentage of the refining capacity here is geared towards dealing with oil that is heavier and less sweet than the kind produced here.

A coordinated, forward-looking energy policy over the last few decades would have targeted that issue through subsidies and incentives. That money has been paid out anyway: it wouldn’t have been hard to use it to make America truly energy independent. However, politicians, it seems, would rather keep a situation where periodic energy crises give them a cudgel with which to beat an incumbent. Lest you think I am making a partisan point here, current criticism is of a Democrat by Republicans, but the last time crude was at these levels it was Democrats criticizing George W. Bush, a Republican, for policies and actions that they said forced oil higher back then.

So, we are left in a place where the U.S., despite producing more crude than it needs, is dependent on imports. When the country feels it must ban imports from Russia because of an unprovoked attack on an ally, it is forced to go cap in hand to countries such as Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, and Iran to make up the difference. That is not the fault of Joe Biden, Donald Trump, Barack Obama, George W. Bush, or any other individual politician. It is the fault of all of them and of every Congressperson and oil executive who prioritized a partisan lever over reducing America’s dependence on imported oil over the last thirty or forty years.

But the average voter doesn’t care about that. They just know they are paying more now than they were under Trump

massaged statistics from political partisan hacks or your lyin' eyes?" propositions...

Welp... my lyin' eyes because everything I buy is a lot more expensive now - especially groceries. A quick stop at Ingles to buy a small cart of grocery basics easily adds up to a $100 now. I do a fair amount of woodworking and the costs of a sheet of plywood have doubled since Biden stepped into office. It's a at least 25% more for all the other "do it yourself" items at the home improvement store. Insurance costs have increased, "eating out" costs have increased... everything I can think of from buying weed/feed for the lawn to toilet paper have all gone up and not by a little.

Have I seen the same $ increases coming into my bank account as to what is now going out? No.... So quote whatever statistics you want but most Americans will believe their lyin' eyes on the economic situation more than what some rich career politician or partisan sycophant mouthpiece says...
