For Clemson AND Wake Forest to make the CFP. Hear me out, if the SEC and Big Ten Champs dominate, and we are left with two loss PAC and Big 12 champs, don’t you have to consider Wake Forest over say a 1 loss Georgia team? Point to out of conference schedule if you want, but Tech isn’t helping their case, and Wake’s only loss potentially is in 2OT to hopefully undefeated Clemson. Not sure if media would ever start talking that way, but I think non biasely they would need to be considered. In addition. Sam Hartman gives them a shot against anybody. Still think they need to blow out a few teams the last part of the season, but I’d like to see it.

NO WAY THAT WILL HAPPEN.. just my opinion, The acc is already being blasted as being weak, it is evident in the first rankings that the eye test will be used, everyone keeps saying it wont, but it will, if it wasnt, Ohio state wouldn't be top 5 if it was resume,,
no way a one loss georgia or tenn gets left out over a wake, , hope clemson wins big at notre dame but im expecting a close game

0310 state will almost always be highly ranked...they have a huge communications school and many sports writers on the alumni payroll...that's another reason why Texas can win 2 games in a row and get ranked...same for Michigan...`let's just rank em and pray`!

I think the fact that Wake will soon be eliminated from an appearance in the ACC Championship game would make it essentially impossible.

their seasons with only one loss! Although it may be better to have UNC go into the ACC CG with only one loss...If they do, they will probably be a top ten team, since they will have beaten Wake. But I can't pull for UNCheat to beat Wake!

Alright, it's not likely, but it's possible.
-Big 12 and PAC 12 need to cannibalize each other, no team with less than 2 losses. That part is easy enough.
-Either Ohio State or Michigan need to drop on game before they play, that team needs to lose their rivalry. The winner goes on to be an undefeated conference Champ.
-The loser of the Tenn UGA game needs to drop one more game, maybe it's Kentucky, maybe SC, maybe Florida. The Winner has to run the table. They are then an undefeated conference Champ.
-Clemson and Wake win out.
That leaves us with 3 undefeated power 5 teams, and one 1 loss power 5 team
1) SEC champ
2) B10 champ
3) Clemson
4) Wake

It would take a lot.
Assuming Clemson finishes 13-0 and Wake 11-1, here are the facts.
1. Wake will not be selected over any 0 loss or 1 loss conference champ.
2. Wake will not be selected over any 1 loss non-conference champ from the SEC or B1G.
So, from the other 4 conferences at least two champs would need 2 losses.
From the SEC and B1G, they cannot have a 1 loss non-conference champ.
That would not guarantee Wake would get selected. It would just mean they might be considered by the committee as a potential selectee.
Translation: I'm betting on the snowball.

and maybe not then. OSU and Michigan need to lose 2 and TN or UGA need to lose 2 and beat Bama in the SEC Championship game or Bama lose 2 and UGA and Tn lose 2 as well as the Pac 12 and TCU lose 2.
That is one heck of a lot of chaos. Stranger things have happened.

Dimwitch and Pawl Finebaum's fiveheads MIGHT be enough chaos. It'd still be doubtful, though. Two schools from the ACC? Puleeeez. Greg Sankey would don his secret High Priest of College Football robes and issue an edict to keep that from happening, if all else failed.
