I actually really wish Clemson would have been voted second. Clemson has reached the point where no one in the ACC is a huge threat (and I don't think A&M and Syracuse will be as good as people think they will be). The only threats to Clemson are Bama, and maybe UGA (Until Oklahoma and Ohio State stop getting blown out by Clemson, I'm not considering them). Bama is a great football team that returned the bulk of their team on both sides of the ball. And they're going to be pissed off (and football games in college rely on emotion) and have a real chip on their shoulder this year. If Clemson were 2, they'd still be fine for the playoffs, the only rankings that matter. But they'd give Dabo some billboard material about Clemson getting disrespected yet again.

The AP is likely to have it closer - though 44-16 (and we know it really wasn't even that close) and returning the whole offense should mean we are #1. To be the man, you have to beat the man to not have us #1 is a miscarriage of justice.
In any event, bulletin board material is ESecPN and Fine-bum. All this talk about the SEC - please. They "beat each other up" but only play scrubs OOC. When they are forced to play other conferences in bowl games, they go .500. Make them play a true OOC slate and that mystique will die.
Frankly, I'm more concerned about ETN or TL getting too much hype early on for Heisman or splitting the vote... Dabo has proven the team will be ready. The only question is the D, but has BV not earned our trust by basically reloading almost every year with a new crew? Calling the repeat now. Go Tigers!

Well I’m sure Dabo and the boys can rest easy now knowing there are no threats to them until January. Silly, silly people.

Anyone giving Bama a first place vote should be banned from ever voting again. They have to be the epitome of STUPID. It's probably the same people that refused to give DW4 the Heisman he deserved.
