Finished my basement. DIY other than the column and ceiling grid. Didn't want the house coming down on me. If it did, I wanted it insured. Turned out pretty well IMHO. It was basically a storage wasteland and then I started poking around at the start hence the absolute dumpster in the before pics.

Unfinished storage room and tiki bar compliments of the previous owner were removed.






Column being added with new footing.



It's kind of hard to show but I rearranged the restroom layout and entry. Toilet is in the same spot for reference.




Took out the 2nd exterior door as there was no need for it.



Built out a shop area with shelving and a utility sink behind the left door. Still need to straighten up.



Moved the water heater just before the start to put it next to the AHU and put them in a closet.



Going down the stairs



Now that this is finished, it's on to redoing the entire main floor.
