Not heard what did youse watchers thought of Cade's brief play?

To me he's in another world of fast play, smooth as glass dynamics & total confidence that I remembered with DW4 & TL16 and he will have his Full day of play sooner than later.

It does look that way. However, kind of hard to tell when you only get one series every other game if you're lucky.

I certainly felt like it was one of his better drives of the year. Definitely like what I see from CK2 despite him looking more like a freshman compared to DW4 and TL16 at this stage.

On another note, I was disappointed in the coaching staff for not putting him in sooner after such a run in the first half. My guess is that the original thought was to let DJ and co go lead another scoring drive and start subbing after...then those 3 TOs just killed it and Dabo didn't wanna let the last drive for the starters end on a low note.

Hope we're able to do similar things next week against them Cock-a-doodle-doodles and empty the benches instead of having to let the starters stay in due to self inflicted wounds.

Agreed. I felt bad for Cade because I think they were trying to get one last score to put him in and just could not get there

He accelerates from 0 to wide as s open! I like that. He made a picture perfect rollout pass while on the run and seemed to have a lot juice. Wish we had a larger sample size to digest.

Cade is faster after his first step than DJ is at top speed.

Watching him is so easy. No matter his playing level. He is so mobile that you feel confident he will get to the outside on the rollout. I'm just afraid we have blown the chance to keep him. I certainly can't see Dj going anywhere, least of all the NFL. That's a laugh. I think if he is back Cade is gone. I hope not but he wants to play.

I mean, I haven't seen anything in CKs demeanor that says if DJ comes back he's 100% outta here.

CK seems very much like a team first kind of guy but, if we're being honest, if DJ were to stay, idk if he holds off CK next year anyhow. Not to mention you also have Vizzina coming in whom some folks are high on.

All indications through camp (spring and fall) this year were that there wasn't a huge gap between CK and DJ. IMO if/when CK gets up to speed I'm sure that Dabo would hand over the keys of the offense at that point just it's not happening this year because DJ improved enough and CK has, outside of some flash moments, looked like a true freshman QB playing P5 CFB.

Still, based on some things I've read into, I get the feel that DJ probably heads out after this year either via the transfer portal or dropping football all together. Certainly can't rule out him returning til you hear it from the guy himself but don't be surprised if he isn't back next year.
