Sam is open, blanks returns from injury Kearse to Sam?

Just wondering........something likely will need to shift around in the safety and Sam spots The rest of the defense is pretty much set.

Kearse is a good option for a solid backup. Coach Reed said that he would like to keep him in the secondary. TJ Burrell and Dorian O'Daniel are in line for the SAM backer, but I've heard that Kellen Jones might run the SAM as well so that Boulware and Goodson can back up the WILL and MIKE. Kearse projects to be a McDaniel type of safety. He needs to correct his zone discipline and his man coverage. He flashes great skills but I think for him, safety is his best option for the next level. I like your points about him at backer but his skill set is good where he is at.

you have to remember he was a freshman. Not many kids at that position come in and SHINE from day one.. He will fight for that position in the spring.. him and Blanks could be really special back there. Move Kearse to SS and let Blanks play FS.. he is more of the ball hawk he had to come up in space too much and got hurt.. but you have cant forget about Wiggins. He might bump Blanks as well. its a good problem to have..
