Does anyone know what happened to Mike Gallagher's radio program in the Upstate? The station that carried him (94.5 The Answer) seems to have gone to a Christian music format. But Mike's website still has him listed as being on 94.5.

I do know that Joey Hudson "retired" from that station a few weeks ago. Maybe it all tied in.

Just looking for information...

The media group that used to own it (Salem Media Group) sold all it's Greenville-area stations back in August to another company called Educational Media Foundation. I think Mike's website hasn't been updated.

I think this is unrelated but Magic 98.9 and 106.3 WORD have swapped frequencies as well.

Thanks. I've kept up to the swap of 98.9 and 106.3. That's actually a better fit for my area.

I liked Mike in small doses. Seems like he was always trying to raise money for this or that. Took away half of the already limited airtime. I think 60-minute talk radio is now sold as 32 minutes of "talk" with half of that being host-hype commercials like weight loss methods/products, HVAC, roofing, etc. Just because the host comes back on the air doesn't mean the selling is over.

I miss the 94.9 FM Salem Network talk radio stuff at night for bedtime listening, when my eyes are too tired for "screens".

98.9 FM WORD has some talk stuff, but my favorite listening time has a really kooky program on that concentrates on UFO's, paranormal. etc. This program, known as "Ground Zero", was claiming recently that Pelosi, Soros, and Kissinger drank blood and adrenacrome for long life. Whatever...not trying to get political here.

They did have the Newsome-DeSantis debate on last night, which turned out to be a good sleep-aid for me.
