Play calling wasn’t great, we all agree. But…
Cade didn’t play well
OL was awful in the 1st half
WRs/TEs had critical drops
Terrible field position all day
Uninspiring performance going into the bye week. Defense was great again (minus last series). Antonio Williams will be back. Having another weapon is going to help out a lot.
We still look like an 8-4 team. But we can still get better. Hopefully we do.

Yep -- took a step back this week.
I was hoping we'd get to play our depth more in the 2nd half but it was an UGLY offense today.
Here's to cleaning up things during the bye and hopefully being ready to go down and play better @ Miami.

You need good coaching to clean things up. The coaches have shown very little ability to develop the players. The team is disorganized, players yelling at each other, low energy. It's amazing that Dabo called this a team with Natty hopes.

7 - 5 is our upside.
6 - 6 is more likely. Too many tough opponents for our remaining home games (with exception being GA Tech) for us to win more than one of them.
NCSU and S.Carolina are our winnable remaining road games.

We can win out with our defense as it will keep us in games, but we need a little luck as our remaining games are probably close to 1 possession games one way or the other.

Agreed on all points. Play calling was atrocious today. Riley = Steeter with some better skill players.

We had 124 total yards and 40 yards rushing at halftime. Shipley and Mafah were averaging less than 3 yards per carry. Cade was under pressure a lot, almost took a safety.
Awful was accurate.

Again, Wake played us well, as they have. Cade had the same pressure last week and rolled the pocket for completions. Didn't do that at all today... They kept our WR's in front of them and our backs had to wear them down. That doesn't mean the OL played awful...

It felt like our offense was finding its groove after FSU and Syracuse, but this game was a massive step back.
We have two weeks to get ready for Miami. I have no idea of what to expect.

Me either. I’m not sold on Miami. I feel like our defense could dominate them. Their defense isn’t great, but neither was Wake’s. It’s a weak stadium so noise won’t be a problem. We get Antonio and Wiggins back.

They also refused to give up the big play. Vlasik had them ready to play us as usual. Cade didn't have a great day, but their D played up, no doubt.

But it was absolutely the correct call…
A) Stay in a 4 man front, do not go 3 man front, and no prevent.(We all agree)
B) Do not blitz and take a chance on an opening deep. Keep everything in front of you. Keep pressuring with your front 4.
C) Make WF burn clock, and lots of it.
