deep balls for big plays (including Wisconsin for crying out loud). We got 9 months to try and figure out how to throw deep balls. If we can’t and defenses can simply sit on the short routes.. it’s gonna be another difficult season.

Which is why some of us are left wondering how buying 1 WR that can do that isn’t happening. And others know we should be, but won’t admit it. Those folks are putting TONS of pressure on the 2 incoming freshman, one who looks physically undeveloped even for his age. You will hear it for the next 8-9 months.

This is more of your BS. We have guys on the roster today that can take the top of D's but injuries have taken a toll. One of the fastest in Tyler Brown is a guy we don't have if we followed your incessant simple protal route for supposed quick fixes.

We'll definitely hear it from your whiny take for the next 8-9 months, though, that's for sure.

Go Tigers.

Although I agree with you that going the portal route to try and fix the issue with the receivers, I tend to wonder who are you referring to that can take the top off a defense currently on the roster? Turner? Spector, who? We lack that 6'4" or taller physical receiver. Whether it's recruiting or development we lack there. And remove the injuries, we still lack there.

Our problem has been, we don't have enough trust in our receivers ability to

FIGHT for those deep balls. Your guy has to at least compete for the catch enough to ensure the other team doesn't intercept it. We have lacked that ability (or desire?) in recent years, it seems.

I agree. It pains me seeing teams like Wake Forest, Ga Tech, and Kentucky (etc) with receivers that will attack the ball down field. We have got to work HARD on improving this weakness.

Recruit better WR's. Size and speed matter.
