Over 1000 Russians killed so far - maybe

According to Ukraine, so who knows, but I think it is likely they are taking relatively heavy losses. Anyone who knows military history or military tactics knows that it's most difficult to take cities and an entrenched and committed defensive unit. I don't know that the Russian soldiers know what they're fighting for, other than just following orders. The Ukrainians, however, definitely know and are committed. This is a good article with a lot of detail. It'll be interesting how things will fly in Russia when word gets out about the number of casualties they are suffering there, for no good reason. And things will just get harder and more costly for Russia as they move into the capital.
