We've talked until our gums are sore.
Best options at the moment are:
* UConn (not a help in football but a big hoops boost, M & W)
* West Virginia
* honestly I'd rather extend an invite to App State over SMU but would take either
* UCF
I still am not crazy about the situation with Notre Dame that gets us everything but football.

Frankly, WVU would be fine if we could trade them for BC or Syracuse. But otherwise, just another mouth to feed with no groceries to put on the table! UCF is a non-starter. No point in adding a mid-major to a conference that already struggles for national respect.

the ACC does not work for us.
Being Charlotte's darling team does not do much for us at all. Atlanta's darling is always the SEC powerhouse and more than 50% of the time the national title winner.

The only issue I see with the SEC is that USuCk will never vote "yes" to allow us in. I believe the vote has to be unanimous.

They might vote yes if playing the rivalry game was in jeopardy, ill give them credit(gross i know) Scar wants to beat Clemson with maybe more intensity/hatred in their heart than Clemson wants to beat them, in order to do that the games in all sports must be played. What better way to add an easier game on to the schedule while making Clemson an in conference game. Thats a win for both sides if the games themselves are put in jeopardy due to the size of these conferences after realignment.

The ultimate (5-10 years out) CFB championship and schedules will be based on (4) 16-team “conferences” whose winners will be the 4 automatic playoff selections. At-large selections will make up the other playoff entrants.
I don’t claim to be clairvoyant, but the math makes this model the most likely.
