It’s probably best that some things aren’t legal in SC

My new girlfriend Jodie traded her next two shifts to come down and surprise me for my my birthday from Knoxville. Other than being embarrassed by four days of dirty dishes in the kitchen and a few of the magazines from my vintage Playboy collection laying around, it was great.

We went to Frankie’s Fun Park. I absolutely destroyed her in Putt Putt and Big Buck HD. She didn’t want to mess up her hair playing laser tag, so she just watched me. I recorded the highest score of anyone in three of the four games I played. I’m pretty sure she was impressed.

After dinner at Applebees, we went back to my place for some alone time. While I was cleaning up and getting the Xbox ready, she made me a sundae. Here’s where things get interesting. One of my friends brought me back weed gummies from Colorado last month. To get them through airport security, he put the weed gummies in a candy gummy container that I had sitting in my Kraft Dinner drawer.

Jodie didn’t know this and sprinkled gummies all over my sundae. I went to town on that #### thing. It wasn’t until my mouth started to get dry and my face felt flush that I realized what had happened. I should have gone all Karen Carpenter at that point, but figured “what’s the worst thing that could happen?” Boy oh boy, that was a mistake!

It didn’t take long until I thought I was having a heart attack and was afraid of a bear attacking me if I went out for some fresh air. After an hour of begging her to take me to the hospital, she walked me to my neighbors where they convinced me that the couch in his garage was a hospital bed.

Jodie won’t return my messages. I hope it’s because she’s working double shifts and not because she’s mad. If anyone has had a similar experience, how did you ask for forgiveness? CVS doesn’t have “sorry I got too high” cards. I already looked.

I honestly don’t think Deion Sanders knows what he’s getting himself into out there in Colorado. If those kids aren’t careful, they are going to have trouble fielding a team. That stuff is legit.

If you are questioning whether I really had the top score in three of four rounds of laser tag, go ahead and call Tim the manager and ask. My skills there are legendary.

If we’re being honest, I should have had the high score all four times but some pre-pubescent brat was cheating by covering his sensors so my perfect shots on him weren’t registering. I told his mother that she was raising him wrong afterwards.

It’s laughable weed isn’t legal everywhere. SC is in the dark ages, like many other states. Cannabis is legit medicine.

People not handling the stuff with care is about irresponsibility not another reason to keep it illegal. How many teenagers get alcohol poisoning? That’s still legal.

I started taking gummies out here at the recommendation

2

Apr 5, 2023, 1:56 PM

of a therapist.. and it was helpful!

Everything can me misused and abused, but pot being illegal in this country is lame. And the stigma, I’m over it. It’s legal where I live and I can buy it more readily than you can get your favorite bourbon in SC.

Great story!! And yes, if you’re not used to taking them, start low and go slow. 2.5mg for the inexperienced is plenty and some of these gummies are 25-100mg. I’ve heard many stories similar to yours with taking too much and anxiety being overwhelming.

SC could benefit from dropping the $$ wasted on a losing battle and starting to bring in the tax revenue from legal pot. At a minimum, folks with legit medical issues should have access without fear of prosecution. Time to change the narrative. Pot isn’t the devils weed and is a way better choice than the what daily or frequent drinking does to people.

F*ck the local Tiger alums - this is you and me, pumpkin

Apr 5, 2023, 10:43 PM

Unlike you, I don't play the game of "who can fake more friends", and I also don't buy your West Coast schtick one bit.

You're just another POS, "B-" liberal product of a system intended only to create radicals. You think you sound good, but really, we stopped listening to the likes of you out on the Left Coast about 6 months into Covid. It's truly sad, but California society isn't any different than the local Islamic schools that create jihadists in the Middle East: you're ideological to an extreme, and thus narcissistic and with little real empathy for anyone else. All you care about are your style points and arrogance chic. In the end, all you know how to do is read off of cue cards.

But the walls are crumbling around you out there, Bub. The Addicts, Freeloaders, and self-proclaimed Elites - really just "elitists" missing the gray matter to make a real difference - are over-burdening the system, and the regular "We the People" are bailing on you. You can't import enough illegals to keep up the Mexican-American vote, and the Blacks vote themselves a big reparation to be paid later by taxing children not yet born, people aren't going to keep buying the Shell Game of "Who next to blame?". Heck, if it weren't for businesses bringing in dollars from outside the State like Silicon Valley, Hollywood, and farming, California would be as broke as Venezuela already.

But soon, Bub, soon. All Tyrants find their end in a hole like Saddam or a bunker like Adolph. And all Liberals meet their Maker in the only Judgement Day that matters.

Soon enough, Bub. So when you get down to those last ten breaths, and the lies and manipulations no longer have any effect, don't come reaching to me. I don't and won't give a f*ck....

This is just like the time I trapped a raccoon and let it go in the girls locker room when I was in the 7th grade.

I thought it was funny at the time but it caused my parents to get in a huge fight. Pops thought my prank was funny. My mom went on a tirade that it could have been a rabid raccoon and girls could have died after being attacked.

Pops left for good soon afterwards. I really hope you guys can put down the keyboard and realize that we are all Tigers and find a way in your heart to forgive each other and become TigerNet buddies.

I’ll respond to you @bowlhunter bc you’re

Apr 6, 2023, 2:12 PM

stating your opinion like a normal human.

What I posted here during covid was simply a first hand account of what I was seeing and doing in one hospital in one city in the country.
They were fact based posts about the amount of CPR I was doing, the population we were seeing, and the outcomes. It was horrific, it was real, and it was incredibly sad.

If those posts inspired fear in people you should ask yourself why it scared you.

What I will acknowledge freely is that I was guilty of projecting MY experience in my hospital broadly across a vast country. What we needed in a more population dense Sacramento was NOT what was needed 45 mins away in the more rural areas like Placerville. The cases and numbers just were not the same.

This was the mistake made by politicians and I believe what made something that should never have been divisive exactly that.

You don’t have to like the experiences I was sharing, but perhaps they just didn’t apply to where you live.

As always, you could choose not to read those posts if you found reality offensive.

Michael Phelps and Hussian Bolt smoke weed everyday of their lives and are some of the most decorated Olympians in the world.

Being stoned doesnt make you lazy. Being lazy does.

Some of the most successful people I know take bong rips on their way to work in the 30s & 40s.

Its time to grow up from the doom and gloom rhetoric and marijuana prohibition.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not that I'm opposed to smoking a bit...

Apr 5, 2023, 5:12 PM

But, partaking of bong rips on the way to work is not what I'd characterize as a "professional practice". If one has to hit the ganja before work starts, there may be other issues. There was a guy in my office that used to do that, and I wouldn't characterize him as very successful as he's no longer employed.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Not that I'm opposed to smoking a bit...

Apr 6, 2023, 7:58 AM

how is it any different than Prozac, Zoloft, Xanax, or Adderall?

Those are the most prescribed drugs in the US with FAR worse quantifiable side effects.

You shouldn't worry about what other people do so much.

Re: Not that I'm opposed to smoking a bit...

THE COP. Or better yet, go ask Soy what % of people living in California's homeless camps are also drug abusers and were before they became homeless?

Just because drugs didn't ruin your life, or even the next guy's life, you're not the totality of the population by any means.

Tens of thousands died last year alone from opioids, and that wasn't the first drug they ever took by any means.

The selfish among us keep making their promises that everything's alright, all the while the cartels mass at the border, plant weed in our National parks, and traffic in human slavery.

Eff all of you for the evil lie you apparently cannot keep to yourself, and feel the need to promote to each next generation.

Mike I’ve drank a lot in my life but I won’t touch liquor. I can promise you I’d much rather be around someone high on weed than drunk on liquor.

Liquor has much worse effects on society than weed ever will. And for the record I don’t do weed but probably would from time to time if it were legal.
