Pro Mix One 2 cycle oil

Apr 13, 2015, 8:14 AM

says you can mix with a gallon of gas and use in equipment calling for any mixed ratio. I've got a Craftsman leaf blower, Stihl hedge trimmer, and Husqvarna weed trimmer, which all specify a different gas/oil ratio. Don't use the blower or trimmer very often, it's a pain to keep a specific mix for them. Anybody ever use this stuff?

Different engines call for different gas:oil ratios for a reason. If you want to take care of your equipment, run the specified ratio. Everything I own is 50:1 so I don't have to keep multiple cans.

The fire department I used to be a member of ran this stuff with good results

yeah, I've used that for the leaf blower, which I mostly use

in short bursts after mowing, so a quart bottle lasts a while. That may be the best option for the blower, but is spendy. I just want something that seems too good to be true, to be true and convenient.

If any of them are 40:1, just use 50:1, or if they are 50:1.

just use 40:1. It doesn't really matter. It won't foul your spark plug(s) or burn up your motor.

I buy the premixed stuff at WalMart for $6.00..use it in a weed trimmer (40:1) and a hedge trimmer (50:1). Can is even marked to use for both ratios. Its non-ethanol and I don't have to mix anything, or buy oil AND gas, and I only go through about 1 can a season.

This is the stuff.

The weed trimmer is the oldest I've ever seen one last. Its the cheapest model weedeater. I was given that when I bought my first house in 2003. I've been using this stuff for about 6-7 years.

thanks, haven't seen pre-mixed good for 2 ratios.

and apparently it's cheaper than I've seen too!

Dude, did you just ask this? I think we are going to have

to revoke your "Man Card".

Mix one container at 40 to 1 or 50 to 1 and put it in ANYTHING THAT IS TWO CYCLE.

Too much oil in the fuel just fouls plugs.

No enough screws the pooch. Use a 40 to 1 in everything and change the plugs at the beginning of the season.

I'd worry more about the rubber part being exposed to ethanol than fouling a spark plug.

I'd advise 2 cycle owners to use a little sea foam in the mix. It does nothing to remedy the problems caused by ethanol but it will clean the carbon buildup off the piston and rings.
