They do need someone to replace Maye so this doesn't look like a bad pick up to me. I haven't looked at who they are bringing in from HS recruiting or who their backup is, but I don't think this hurts them.

Also, Maye and Sam Howell developed pretty well so their QB coach must be doing something right and I'm guessing that might have been attractive to Johnson.

I doubt his brother goes. max is leaving bc he got beat out twice and only has a year left. Jake wouldn’t waste a career by going to UNC, but if he only had one year left, it would certainly be a possibility.
