Cade was making nice progress until yesterday. The Wake Forest game was a real setback though. It wasn’t all bad (just mostly bad)

First, the WR’s were open all day long we had a few drops, but only one or two that really looked like they cost us yards.

He missed some huge plays where he didn’t read the defense correctly or didn’t go through his progression

Then when he did see them wide open he was making poor throws. The overthrow of Green and the ball in the dirt to Brown were huge missed opportunities.

The fumble is really frustrating. You can tell that Dabo is just about fed up with it. It sure looked like Cade’s fault holding the ball in there way to long then trying to pull it. Just unacceptable at this point in the season and after already letting this sloppy play cost us a game.

Now the positives:

He looked good scrambling and using his legs to get some yards. I also thought his awareness was better and he slid appropriately whereas he left a few first downs on the table in previous games.

Also, i don’t recall any close misses on picks. That’s what worried me last week is that we had a few that could have been picked off. So he played smart not throwing into double coverage and reading the LB’s and safeties.

I don't think he looked sharp yesterday and

really don't think anybody did for the most part. I do think the overthrow to Greene looked like it was on Green to me. Looked like he just cut off his route, but who knows. Shipley kind of said the fumble was on him butt if Cade was trying to pull the ball back out, that was the correct read because the end was crashing on Shipley

Offense as a whole looked disinterested in the game. Maybe the players had something better to do?

Agree. Looked like they showed up for work on a day

they wanted to call out, not a team with something to prove in front of a homecoming crowd.

The offense yes, but the defense showed up. I give the defense overall grade of = A. The offense on the other hand a grade of = D.
