Question for those that know a lot more about Basketball

than I care to do, and let me preface the question by saying that I lived and died with Clemson basketball from the elite 8 team through the twin towers of Davis and Campbell, to McIntyre, Jamison and Wideman . After we finished with 4 on the court at Chapel Hill and watching screw job after screw job administered by Tobacco Rd. refs I made the decision to step away.

So with all that being said, is there an Assistant on Brownells staff that should be given the opportunity to finish the season as interim coach? It seems logical to think Neff is going to let Brownell go at the end of the year , so why not do it now. Best case you catch lightning in a bottle (Dabo), Worst case you are looking for a new coach at the end of the season. Thoughts??

Mid season firings dont seem to happen in college basketball.

Unless there is some sort of scandal.

Brad is our all time winningest coach. He’s represented our program with class. There is no reason to fire him now. Let the season play out and go from there.

But to answer your question, Billy Donlon would be the obvious choice for interim since he was previously a head coach.
