Quote of the Year, from an out-of-state recruiting analyst:

Feb 5, 2002, 12:00 AM

From the Post and Courier this morning:

While Wallace agreed that South Carolina is winning the recruiting war with Clemson, he added that the margin isn't as significant as some people might think.
"South Carolina and Clemson both have seven SuperPrep All-Americans committed right now," Wallace said. "I don't see why people think South Carolina is so far ahead of Clemson. We've got South Carolina somewhere between 13th and 17th and Clemson somewhere between 15th and 20th. To me, that's pretty close.
"I'm based out of Los Angeles and in my 15 years I've never seen a state with so much bias toward one school. Fans, the media, it's all skewed towards South Carolina."
