RB Speed - David Eziomume

I was curious about what's in the pipeline at RB in regards to elite speed. Looking at Eziomume (being a track athelete), I really didn't know what a great time would be (100 and 200 meter) - I only really know 40 times. So, needed a comparison - whose better than Spiller and Etienne to compare RB speed (at least on the track).

Eziomume's HS JR year: 10.84 100-meter, 22.23 200-meter

Spiller's HS SR year: 10.42 100-meter (FL state championship winning time), 21.50 200-meter (won easily)

Etienne HS SR year: 10.92 100-meter, 22.75 200-meter


So, I'm liking what I'm seeing here.

Etiennes gift was explosiveness not just break away speed

Spiller had that quickness too. Not sure EZ is AS quick but definitely has the break away speed

Etienne ran with a lot more lower body power than Spiller. He was MUCH

harder to bring down, and would run right through arm tackles without even slowing down much.

Let us all hope he can break away like ETN could.... that guy got into the open and was not being chased down

Love watching ETN Clemson highlights... ETN was the definition of "game changer"

Etienne's acceleration was other-worldly (watch his Fr. year TD against Louisville and the acceleration down the sideline)
Terry Allen's acceleration through the hole was also a thing of beauty.
