1. Clemson 2. Oklahoma 3. Auburn 4. Bama

That my best guess at present. CU and OK win out. AUB beats Bama then beats UGA again in SEC championship game. 1-loss Bama watches WISC lose in B1G conf. championship game which seals Bama's return to playoffs. Pac-12 looks like they're done.

Of course if Bama beats AUB, then a one-loss MIA or even Ohio St could back into last slot by pushing out a one-loss WISC.

Yeah Soc in your scenario osu would be the b1g conference champ thus all 4 teams would be conf champs.

Now if mich beats wisky this weekend, wisky still play for title. U would need mich to beat osu and penn st play a low ranked wisky team and then your scenario really does make for chaos especially

If ga tech beats uga then who has a better case? Miami or Bama? You’d think it would be Miami because you would have a 2 loss auburn team with loss to tigers and a one loss Miami with loss to tigers.

That would send finebam and Klatt klutz into withdrawals. I would love it!

I think we can stick a fork in tOSU with their 2 losses. They were the laughing stock of the CFP last year, so not sure anyone wants to give them yet another shot.

Right now, Miami might have a better shot at getting into the CFP than CLEMSON. CLEMSON must win every game, but Miami only has to win the remaining regular season games, and can lose in the ACCCG and still sneak in. Just brainstorming here.

The POC will take a dim view of Bama's depleted LB corp. My guess if it shakes out with those four is
1 Clemson
2 OU
3 Big 10
4 AU

I don't think they will schedule a rematch in the final.

Not so sure the POC is concerned about rematches. They have been consistent (for the most part) with use of criteria to rack and stack. Us at 1 in previous years; and at 2 this year fly in the face of Coaches, AP and talking heads, for example. And IMO, reflect that consistency; dare I say validity of their process?

So, if a rematch should present itself - ala OU vs 0-31-O in your prediction, should they be B1G champs - then I think the POC would let the chips land where they land.

Whatever choice(s) you make makes you. Choose wisely.

Who knows but I would think that MIA actually gets in at 4 over Bama in that scenario. (If their only loss was to us in the ACC Championship and IF it is a close game.)

But then again you never knows when it comes to the committee. That 4th slot would be an interesting one.
