Broom time/RPI

You could hear a pen drop in that baseball stadium this weekend. The best baseball we’ve played all year by far. It showed all of the great qualities of Erik Bakich. Just perfect coaching on his part with how he maintained the tempo through small ball and pitching decisions. But also the players for just executing opportunities. There’s really nothing you can say other than we are hitting great and it’s helping and boosting up our pitchers. As well as outstanding defense in pressure moments.

That was Omaha level play of baseball right there. Just hoping we keep it going.

RPI has moved all the way up to 28th! NC State was 8th going into weekend.

And to think if we can get Barlow and Ammons back. Wow.

Glad he's stuck with the freshman too. They're growing up. Some tough series coming up. Who'd have thought bc would be one of our tough tests. Uncheat series could be huge.

Win our midweek games and get a big boost in rpi and sos. I think the magic number now down to 9. 9-6 will get us in. 6-6 in league play and 3-0 in midweek.

Yes getting Ammons back has already been huge. I forgot how off balance he makes hitters with his pace. And Barlow for sure.

NC State is down all the way below us now. I think we’re at the point where the RPI of opponents shouldn’t be concerned with. They’re all good teams and so are we. We must stay level headed though. Get too high on the positives can make us slack off.

Coastal’s the biggest midweek. That one win alone to get the series sweep versus them can almost help more than an ACC weekend sweep. If we get it, it can make up for the UCF sweep. And also for any series losses with the remaining schedule.

Boyds World says 11-4 could get us a top 16 rpi.

Yeah getting 11 wins out of these particular last 15 games will for sure put us within top 16.

Who knows what may happen with the national seeds if Clemson does that along with a deep ACCT run. Thinking far ahead though. Let’s just beat Kennesaw.

Wow just saw that. I don’t think we’ll be in the actual rankings quite yet. But that’s a whole 20 spots we moved up in 3 games. Just great.

Correct. Glad our pitching held up for us. The double play bunt could’ve hurt if we didn’t score all those runs prior.
