2016 Preview: Louisville Cardinals

Jan 19, 2016, 9:16 AM

Thoughts?

Returning Starters: 18 (10 Offense / 9 Defense)

After true freshman dual-threat quarterback Lamar Jackson set a Music City Bowl record 226 yards rushing while throwing for two more scores, the hype began to build. Not just for Jackson, but for this young Louisville football team. Coach Petrino has his team in a prime position to compete with the likes of the big boys now. There's a ton of players coming back and 2016 is primed to push the Cards into an 11 or 12 win season for the third time in four years.

Key Returning Players:
QB Lamar Jackson-So
NT DeAngelo Brown-Sr (15 ALL ACC)
ILB Keith Kelsey-Sr (15 ALL ACC)
S Josh Harvey-Clemons-Sr

Lousiville is improving which is good for the league but....

they're still playing for third place in the Atlantic Division behind Clemson and FSU.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

I believe Florida State and Louisville are the toughest games on our schedule for next football season. I also think Auburn is intriguing since they always seem to either be really good or extremely terrible. Good chance to make another run.

Go Tigers. All in all the time.
