By the end of 35 days, Jackie's 3 eggs should have hatched.
Update. Snow is still falling and Jackie was on nest all night. Eagles can go several days without eating as they store food in craw and regurgitate to keep themselves fed during nesting. Regurgitating fod is how they feed the very young eaglets. Big Bear Valley gets lots of snow as the elevation is 5000 feet plus. It is still snowing.


Just so everyone knows, I am by no means an expert on Eagles. I am just in awe at how nature works to insure the species continues to survive and has an eagle sit through a blizzard on the nest for days on end.

Shadow brings food to the nest for Jackie several times each day...

That's usually when Jackie will get up, have some food, stretch her wings, and allow Shadow to incubate the eggs for a little while.

Shadow relieved Jackie at about 6:30 a.m. and is still on the nest.
