Thanks for posting. Did you take these with a 1990s flip phone? He he
At least they aren't posted sideways. Good job!

I was stationed at Fort Richardson in Anchorage in 1970. Got to see some pretty countryside riding in a Huey helicopter.

Thanks for your service! Flying over a glacier is pretty cool. Last time we flew out we got to see clearly several.

You're from Ohio, you live in Texas, and you're visiting Alaska. What's next, climbing Mount McKinley?

I was born in Summerville SC. Moved to NC in teens. Took a job in Ohio when I joined Tigernet, this the name. Moved to Texas for a job. My son took a job in Alaska and his wife and him just bought a house. I went up to see them again and I am not made of money. Poorest Tnetter probably, but blessed with great children and a patient wife

I'm just jealous. I've spent most of my life and time in upstate South Carolina. The farthest north I've been is Michigan, the farthest south is South Florida and the farthest west is the Mississippi River. I've never been out of the mainland United States, but I'm happy with it.
Hope you had or are having a good visit with your son and his family. It looks beautiful and cold up there.

Thanks and the upstate is beautiful. I lived in Easley before moving to Ohio. Should have stayed at BMW but thought Ohio was right place lol. People make mistakes

Beautiful houses in and top of the mountains around Anchorage. Went to Flat Top last time and overlooked the city and Ocean

Last time I was in Alaska was in the mid seventies. Was in a small village called Galena on the Yukon River between Nome and Fairbanks. Beautiful country but cold. Stationed there for a year and really enjoyed it.

Thanks Illinois Tiger for your service. Quick trip this time but during better weather he wants to explore more of Alaska with me. It is so huge of a state and I live inTexas lol. Denali is maybe 130 miles away and you can see the top of it from across the Ocean at Beluga point south of Anchorage. Just so much to see there for outdoorsmen
