Yes, he’s apparently decommitting from UNC. If if wants to reclassify and play college ball this year the Heels don’t really have a spot for him.

Wonder what type of NIL he gets from the Coots.
This is one of reasons why Clemson needs to go to SEC or BIG. Only way to make more money and put into basketball for NIL purposes.
Brad and Company actually had a spot open this season, but can't even sniff GG Jackson.
Can you imagine a front line of GG Jackson, PJ Hall and Hunter Tyson...?

That would have been a formidable front line. I’ll be honest though. He’s the legit number one player in the class. But I watched him in the state championship and was concerned about his hustle. Maybe it was just an anomaly.

Gee, would you rather be a Paris at USook getting a trademark type player, or Brad getting to regular 3 star type recruit?

From the report I saw on CBS Sports the reporter says there are “forces” pushing him to go to u of sc. To me that says people around him are getting some kind of benefits to convince him to spend 8-9 months in the dump. Kids gonna get paid regardless so people that are around him just need to leave him be and spend what little college experience he has being happy instead of being coerced to go somewhere.

From what I’m hearing there’s 2 things at play. Yes, he is being pulled “by forces”. But also , I think he just said wants to go to the NBA after this season and he does not want to fight for playing time at UNC this year. Best of luck to the kid. Hope it works out for the best.

If you answer we didn’t recruit him then I can only assume he is a Moran since UNC only recruits talent, not scholars. Same goes for Cola as we all know. They just don’t usually land talent.
If you answer we did recruit him and he wasn’t interested, please show your work.

Who knows what the coots will do but it definitely sends the message they're serious about basketball and if he's a one and done, who knows... But it should pay huge dividends for them down the road. And as you stated, bring others with him.

No but could help a brand new coach get future talent in the state.
Future talent wants to follow NBA players at a school.
This pays divdens down the line. Is a future 5 star in SC who watches GG in the NBA going to consider S Carolina or Clemson more?
You should know this as a Heel fan.

You could be right. I just think there’s a big hurdle in Columbia to become a true basketball program. I don’t think one player puts them on the map but you are correct in that it’s a start. You gotta start somewhere.
