After game thoughts

Sep 11, 2021, 8:49 PM

- DJ looked a little better, beginning to think timing and chemistry with the starting receivers is due to limited reps during camp. Time will tell.
- LJD still looks to be indecisive when given the hand off. Seems to want to bounce everything to the outside. Might be why Shipley and Pace are getting more carries.
- Why are our tight ends not utilized more. Really think this will hurt us in the recruitment of Delp.
- 1st string defense is just plain nasty. Love it.

Overall not a bad day but still things to fix offensively but that is not surprising when almost the whole offense is not used to playing together. Lots of football left and looking forward to this team growing and getting better.

GO TIGERS!!

Rah Rah. I just love these go get 'em insights into what all of our armchair coaches seem to think our team needs.
Time will tell you say.
Looking forward to the team growing and getting better.
Well what about the other top 25 college football teams?
Do you expect them to just roll over and lose a game or two to make us look better?

No of course I dont think the other teams won't improve as well. But it is not all doom and gloom for this team either. Heck in 2016 should a DW4 led team have lost to PITT? But it happened. I will take an ugly win over a loss any day. Considering 77 different players saw action in the 1st half alone today was not a bad day. If Dabo wanted too we could hung 100 on S C State but that is not how he coaches. Could the 1st team offense have used more reps, yes but Dabo's culture of put in the work earns you playing time it what makes this place different and special.
Like I said previously, not perfect but a little better than week 1. Lots of football left to be played.
