We never seemed to pick up on that with our defense. Guys were crashing in too much. And Sears and Co were all draining them. Sears was just throwing it up with his eyes closed and it went in.

Very disappointed that BB did not come out with the match up zone in the second half, that had been successful in the playoffs. IMO as bad as we shot FTs, it was the all the threes we gave up in the second half that beat us. I think we played zone on one possession. The zone would have forced Alabama to go inside more to shoot two pointers and helped to prevent the ball being kicked back out to the perimeter. We essentially made no defensive changes. As a coach you can never be at fault if you try something else if your game plan is not working. We did nothing.

We played a good bit of zone the back part of 2nd half

Actually the hit a few against zone from beyond the arc, we wouldhave been better served to run sears, especially, off the line.

But, Sears is insane and has been all year. Maybe the best PG in the country and has scored and shot at a high level all year.. against everyone. So fast, we have no one to guard him. Bama is trained to shoot threes and layups, not jumpers. It's feast or famine.

I'm sure against UConn they'll go 6-30.

Could Brad have made more adjustments, probably. But they made it hard at times for us to guard and ultimately our veteran guys are the ones who got out rebounded, lost at times on defense and missed FTs and 3s early... We still had a shot to win despite all of that.

Sometimes you need a little luck that the other team missing open looks... That luck was with us against Baylor and Arizona... No such luck last night

That's a very reasonable assessment although I'm very proud of what Brad, staff and players accomplished.

Well what killed us was them making an impressive 45% of those 3s....They played well above their potential last night as they are only 34% shooting 3 point team...Which is still good
