It's idiotic. They've lost 6 of 7 and they're still ranked 3rd in the RPI.
They have 6 SEC teams in the top 7, so we have no room to move. Even if they all lose they won't drop. These polls are crap.

It’s not a poll. The RPI is a relatively simple formula that takes bias out of the picture. Home wins count as .7 wins. Home losses count as 1.3 losses. Vice versa on the road. Neutral site games are 1:1. The formula is 25% your win/loss record, 50% your opponents win loss record, 25% your opponents’ opponents w-l record. SCar, despite losing 6/7, have won a lot of games. They have played very good teams. They’re ranked highly for the exact same reasons that we are. Recency bias says the should be punished for losing these games and that is how pollsters would treat it. They were number 1 before the losing streak and they’ve lost to two top 5 teams. So RPI is a lot more rational than polls would be.

And their non conference RPI is #2 behind Kentucky's #1

They have THREE Q2 games..TOTAL. But what ticks me most right now is that we have 3 losses to UCF who blatantly cheated early in the year. Who knows how many of those homers they hit would have been long outs!!!

Won't go there WRT what we might have done against UCF. They came here and beat us because we hadn't become a team yet. Cheat/no cheat didn't really matter from what I saw. The Tigers are a team now and I'm confident we'd destroy them were we to play again.

We've got a great shot at hosting through the Supers now. Take care of business over the next 4 and we're set up for the best run since 2010.
