Anyone getting the feeling that Nick Sabin

Might just hang it up after the National Championship. For some reason I'm kind of getting that vibe. I mean he's 72, nothing else to really accomplish. I may be way off, but I don't know.

He doesn't seem the type to want all the fanfare about it until after the season's completely over. I'm probably way off, was just having an interesting conversation with a friend about it the other night.

I saw another poster here post an article where the DC said he sees no timeline for Saban to retire…. I think he has huge ego and as long as he enjoys it, he will keep going…. He has pretty much free reign on when he leaves IMO

The "enjoys" it thing could be key.

With all of the portal/NIL nonsense and the fact that he's solidified his legacy, I could see it.

he looked sick in his pregame interview the day before, he needed both arms to hold the mic (one hand holding up his arm that was holding the mic)

Saw that too. Wife said people do that to keep hands from shaking. She (nurse not Dr) said it was a classic Parkinson’s symptom.

In my view, he appears to be quite engaged, passionate, and energetic. Not much surprises me, but if he were to retire now, I would be surprised.

I'd still be surprised. He just seemed to be more emotionally attached to this team than he has in years past. It would make sense if he wanted to though.

He can only play so much golf so I doubt he is ready to hang up coaching.

He'll be his old self again once he secures a new QB
I think he's aware Milroe can't get it done

Nah The fact that they “shot themselves in the foot “ will be his motivation to correct it next year

His age may be saying yes, but his ego may say no. Still has drive and passion - doesn't seem like one to retire and just take it easy.
He's a well conditioned machine. The most successful people I know in business have selfish tendencies, everyone else makes sacrifices for the betterment of those around them, the ones they support (not just financially) - in many cases the latter sacrifice progress in their career paths and try to juggle life. Saban is married to the game. When he leaves it will be in his terms, which he has earned in his profession.

Bryant for the most NChampionships I think. Until he breaks that I can’t see him hanging it up unless they start falling off the map
