IF an opening were to occur, my top 3 choices to become Head Coach would be:

1) Will Wade
2) Bob Richey
3)Pat Kelsey

Anyone else?

New blood, a new regime, a new spirit to invigorate this basketball team. I have no idea who, but it is important to make changes when changes are obviously needed.

Not against that at all. He kicked our tail yesterday. But in reality, I believe we can do better.

Give Ace Buckner's dad a chance to coach him in college.

A charismatic former Clemson player, NBA player for 11 seasons, and NBA coach for the last 24 seasons. At Clemson, he started all 122 games of his career, led the team in scoring all four years and guided the team to 3 NCAA Tournament appearances.

Season ticket sales, ticket sales and overall excitement for the program would leap.

Will Wade comes with a lot of baggage and would only view Clemson as a steppingstone from the start. He is loyal only to the almighty dollar. I'm not sure I want Clemson to sell all of its integrity for a couple of years of successful basketball.

Bob Richey is a good coach but, he is a big believer in player development and essentially is a carbon copy of Brownell with almost zero big program experience.

Pat Kelsey would be my pick. His energy is infectious. He played at Xavier so he knows the ins and outs of major college basketball in a major conference. He was the assistant HC at Wake Forest which gives him insight on the ACC. He has coached at Winthrop and CofC, which gives him an already established recruiting footprint. He isn't afraid of using the portal, which is sadly a must in college BB these days. He has a wealth of post season experience as a player and a coach. I think there would only be a couple of blue blood jobs that would entice him from a career move standpoint should he be successful at Clemson. IE: Xavier and Ohio State from a hometown and alma mata standpoint. Then the usual suspects. Kentucky, Indiana, UNC, Duke etc.
