BC and Virginia need to cut a check to their bowls

Dec 26, 2021, 4:14 PM

for any losses by the bowl for ticket refunds, opponents, and expenses.
They accepted the bowl, they should pay for their losses.

I agree with you. The current mindset in this world has made it way too easy to just quit without any consequences.

Agree. Just think about Memphis. Flew all the way to Hawaii then canceled the day before.

Memphis should be really PO at Hawaii

Dec 26, 2021, 5:54 PM

if they had let them know sooner, Memphis would be playing in the Gator Bowl!

Its my understanding in the ACC that's its equal distribution , revenue from bowls. The ACC members
that play should keep the bowl revenue. The opts outs should have to ante up.

Not to mention the $$$$$ that Clemson would receive as part of this Communist dispersal of cash...

Not until we get that $300K from FSU

...for travel reimbursement. Our player didn't even have COVID. Dabo offered to stay long enough for another test since he had been negative several times, but FSU would not agree to it. He ended up being negative. Pay up, Noles.

I guess the ACC is losing money we can't afford to lose either.

Agree or not it is medical emergency that caused these

Dec 26, 2021, 8:56 PM

schools to opt out. How in your group thinking does this legally happen? If you are not medically cleared to work your job, you feel you should have to pay your employer? On top of losing the money you would have earned?

NCAA has allowed themselves to become a useless organization in regards to college athletics. They have lost control and allowed chaos to rule over college football. The TP has become a joke and now players are basically paid athletes.

It is ashamed to see so many team’s bailing out of BG’s. They should have to cover same kind of cost. I am sure each BG that is canceled loses money.

In the 70’s and 80’s it was an honor to be invited to a BG days when it actually meant something to get a bowl invite.

Now it’s become a joke if your team doesn’t make it to a BG there are so many.

Most of these Bowls should be cancelled. Just a money grab for ESPN. What other sport has games after the regular season for teams that have failed in the regular season. Our game included.
