I know some of y’all on here are against it, but it sounds like beer may be available next season in Death Valley. (2024-2025)

I keep saying that will be the final straw for me (NIL, expanded playoffs, etc.) but beer being sold at Death Valley will really end any more trips for me. I don’t care that people imbibe at tailgates before and after as long as they aren’t complete morons in the stadium. You let them buy inside and slosh their beer all over spectators and on the bleachers and it takes away any reason for me to ever attend again. Chasing the very last dollar in our pockets at the expense of atmosphere.

I don't think it's going to kill the atmosphere. The people that get drunk already do.

What's the big deal? They sell it at the ACC championship which I have attended since 2011 when we are in it and I've never had any issues with anyone.

Yeah I mean I’ve had games where drunks from the tails gates were obnoxious and I couldn’t stand them. Beer sales wouldn’t have changed those guys. The ones acting that way do that now and will continue to do that. Have also seen people with liquor they snuck in. I firmly believe alcohol sales won’t change things much.

They will change the length of the line for bathrooms.

Yeah I took my oldest Grandson to the ACC Championship game against Miami. I had splurged and got some good Club seats. 8 college or just out of college kids came in late with a beer or mix drink in each hand. They were toasted and one of them dropped his full beer right in My Grandson's seat. Luckily my Grandson was standing. The guy apologized but they were sloppy drunk. They left at halftime. That was also a lot of wasted money for 8 midfield club seats to be used for less that a half of a football game.

Would you rather them sneak in plastic Liqour bottles like they have been for Years and get even drunker during the game?

I sure hope not because on a hot day, you miss half a quarter to stand in line to get a water. I cannot imagine what it would be like to wait in line for a beer.

Think about line at bathroom with beer sales.

Suits me but I'll drink my 75 cents beer at the tailgate. What will ruin my time is when half time pass-outs are no longer a thing and we are trapped inside on a 90 degree day, the whole time. I only attend Military Appreciation Day half time shows. Love the band but I enjoy tailgating too.

If it is sold during football games

Then it has to be sold during all sporting events. Baseball, softball, gymnastics, basketball, rowing, track and field, golf, etc. etc. , and all intramural sporting events.

Don’t like the idea for football, but strangely I think it would be nice to have at Doug Kingsmore. Beer drinking during a baseball game just seems more aligned with the sport to me. We are so crammed into the bleachers in DV.

5-10 years ago I would be ok. Maybe it's just me but lately people seem increasingly unhinged and easily agitated. Probably not a popular opinion but alcohol shouldn't be added to the mix. Yes , the Civil minded must suffer due to the behavior of the few.
