Best ROI on athletic facilities investment at Clemson?

Probably initially building Memorial Stadium and the free labor Coach Howard got out the team to help clear rocks from the field. “ The original 20,500-seat stadium—the lower half of the current facility's south grandstand—was constructed for $125,000 or $6.25 a seat.”

In modern times, perhaps it’s the new soccer facility and practice fields with both the men and women in the College Cup this year.

WEZ and the Reeves Football Complex also have paid nice dividends.

Depends on how you value ROI. Since football and men’s basketball are the only two sports who are profitable, one could argue those should get the lions share of the money

I’m thinking performance - wins and championships.

So yeah that a good shout.

No return at all yet from tennis. Softball is a good one if you include that.

Lacrosse will probably get a big boost

Good call on Softball. The athletic department really got this one right, with the possible exception of making the seating area too small.

Softball could definitely expand some seating out in right field. I hope they leave the grass berm alone. That’s a great scene when the ball leaves the park.

If you’re talking about success! For me personally, DKS! I had so much fun there watching Jacks team with my grandpa. Would love just one more spring day there with him.

Great question! Go Tigers!

Obviously the FB facilities get mention b/c of the program's success

Soccer definitely gets a nod w/ not only the improvements @ Riggs but the Ops Center. Having men & women combine for 3 College Cup appearances since it opened in 2020 would validate that.

McWhorter definitely has to be up there too...great home environment w/ the fans embracing the program & the student-athletes have feed off that w/ how quick they've established themselves
