Big time college football is getting above the law. Today's

Ruling on "insufficient evidence" regarding the two Alabama football players is unreal. The DA said they could not determine who the stolen gun belonged to. Firstly there were only TWO Alabama players, excuse me, I meant only two suspects in the car which had controlled substance in it. One gun was sitting on the seat next to the driver, aka as Alabama's best offensive lineman. The other gun, which was stolen, was under the drivers seat. The car they were in belonged to the driver. DUH! Think they might have thought about finger printing the gun?
Don't know about other parts of the country, but here down South I am convinced that Alabama, Auburn, FSU, and, right behind those three, Georgia, have had true criminals on their teams and the school administrations and coaches have turned their heads.
Now, if we want to change the subject to academic's, there is a "public ivy" school in the state of North Carolina that also fits the above category....just saying.

Granted I haven't read the case file but this doesn't sound right. Two men in the car, a stolen gun and a controlled substance. No one wants to claim it, okay well the driver is charged with it at the very least depending on where it was located. If it was in a common place that is easily accessible to both subjects then you charge them with constructive possession. Really seems like a favor was called in on this one. The solicitors office at the very least could plead the charges down to something else, not just dismiss it.

According to a report on Fanbuzz the Louisiana DA stated that he didn't feel he had enough evidence to prosecute. What about the word of the police officers and video was not enough evidence? The DA also stated "that he didn't want to ruin two young men's lives that have worked all of their adolescent and young adult lives playing football while our citizens live in their air conditioned homes". This almost puts FSU to shame.

An investigation into the DA's office may be in order.

Hey, if I had a stolen gun and pot in my car...I'm sure I would have received the same treatment. Right.
Saban will come up with some stiff punishment for them. Maybe miss a practice or two. It's not like they did anything wrong...what a joke. Win.at.all.cost.
Keep thinking your program is above reproach, beer. We'll just laugh at the idiocy from here.

Is the fact that Saban won't even give them a talking to, much less suspend or dismiss them from the team. He will say time served or some crap.

Short guy, brown hair. Pretty good coach.
However, I think that Bear Bryant was better coach and man.

I don't want the kids lives ruined either but this means they aren't going to suffer ANY consequences at all. At the very least they should be kicked off the team.
