Not a bourbon connoisseur but I do partake.I just won a bottle of Booker's green label.

Should I open it or let it marinate?

Bourbon isn't like wine. It doesn't age

much in the bottle. It does it's aging in the barrel cask.
So a 15 y/o whiskey doesn't become a 17 after two years in the bottle.
