Because the wounds are still fresh and Neff shouldn't get another 'lack of apathy' pass the next time he has a decision like that to make. Many fans do lack apathy - we actually care about being successful in this critical sport and don't buy into the rear view loser mentality many on here do - so turning that around as a reminder regularly sounds about right.

Have you ever thought about why Brad cant sign top talent out of the portal? It's really an easy answer yet you seem to be struggling with it.

Imho he is an unenthusiastic person and a weak recruiter. What is your opinion? As a comparison, Dabo has recruited blue chip stars to the same school.

Dabo and CDF both recruited football at a very high level. No one has ever recruited basketball at a very high level except Tates Locke and that was only for a couple of years. Basketball recruiting has been dominated for years by paying handlers or AAU coaches, shoe company payola and now NIL. To think any coach can recruit basketball out of the portal at a high level without a strong NIL program is folly. I would also agree that CBB is an average recruiter but given the landscape it would not matter.

Gee, I thought Larry Nance, Elden Campbell, Dale Davis, and the first Booker were pretty good. Seems the NBA thought so too. Can you name players comparable to them that’s Brownell has recruited.

For the same reason he doesn't do any of the other things a coach needs to do well: he's not very good at it. He's slightly (SLIGHTLY) above average. That's not good, that's average...mediocre, if you will.

Brad can't sign top HS recruits or portal players because he can't identify and/or develop talent into NBA level, he gets regularly outcoached in close games, he's a post-season flop, and he is all over the map when coaching up his team to the competition.
The boy just ain't got no groove in him, and game and season flows over 13 years prove that out.
