Just saw that The State reported yesterday that Bryan Tucker is officially stepping away from football. Anyone know if he was already taken out of the official scholarship counts for this coming spring?

Yes. He was removed from the scholarship list about 2 weeks ago.

First, I hope that the young man is fine and has a bright future post-football. With that being said, he was another 4 star bust at OL in the Thomas Austin era. Either he did not receive proper development or he was misevaluated. Those seem to be common themes over the last 3-4 years. Looking forward to both of those areas improving with coach Luke.

OL is the hardest to project out of HS so the third option is he simply did not develop as anticipated which happens a ton with this position.

I'm glad that he earned his degree.

I wish we would have gotten more out of him as a player since he was rated as a 4 star coming out of high school.
