and took it from the Braves.... All those wins, all those stats, but could not come through when it mattered.
Although I thought for a moment Acuna had himself a cluth bases clearing hit, but he just didn't get enough of it.
Great season Braves, but you have to be clutch in October or you go home!!

"What's new?" This is what you asked? They won the World Series in 2021. They have not exactly been choking things away for years. They had a great year and lost to a very good Phillies team. I would not call them choke artists when they recently won a World Series.

The drug testing gets tighter in the postseason.
When Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire starting knocking the cover off the ball in the same season, every fan with two brain cells said, "oh they gotta be juicing," and sure enough, they were.
So when an entire team, with the same training staff, sets new records for home runs, we just attribute it to what? Good luck? Good coaching? Braves face everyone's worst pitcher? Or something else?
And then they "forget how to hit" in the postseason? Nah, they got clean and became merely mortal.

Maybe they can have a regular season champs parade like UCF. Current stretch takes me back to the 90s, all those division championships and only 1 ring to show for it
