“Bull in The Ring” for TNetters

If you don’t know what that is… it proves how much many of you actually know about football. Google it. Half of you keyboard warriors never played a down of football and couldn’t catch gonorrhea at a Gamecock tailgate.
This looks like Gamecock board and it gets worse with every day. I am so disappointed at the entitled pansies spewing nonsense on this board. You know who you are and you’ll be the first to respond to this post with some snarky response. It’s the same entitled clowns spewing the same negative garbage.
So we lost a game. Big deal. Our coaches didn’t have a great day today. Big deal. These same coaches took us to the top just a couple of years ago. 99% of football fans would kill to have the success we have had over the last 10 years.
We are 11-3. We have a special program and another great class coming in. I would have killed to have experienced this type of run when I was a Clemson student.
Some of us remember the Tommy West days. We have been spoiled and some of you are just plain disgraceful. It’s embarrassing to see some of the posts on this board. Our team is down but they played their hearts out. The Clemson family should be better than this.

Tommy West wasn't paid $10 mil a year

Stop with these insane comparisons. We played a second string offense and got murdered but we are supposed to be ok with it ..ok I get it. But some of us were hoping to see Clemson beat a real team this year...even if they were declawed. But I guess we need to be ok with that. Oh and yes I played football in highschool. No I didn't play football in college. So what? You know who else didn't play football in college? Mike Leach. I think he knew a little about football.

You don't have to be ok with it. You just have to be realistic. Living in fantasyland isn't doing you any good.

Just out of curiosity, do you consider your post to be snarky itself?

Okay everyone, pack it up. It's not a big deal we lost to the coots, get embarrassed by Notre Dame, or got outcoached in the Orange Bowl. All is fine and we should be grateful and not criticize anyone according to this guy because our football program wasn't as good in the 90's and we won a title 5 seasons ago.
You pumpers all sound the same...like sheep regurgitating the same baabaa "well, in the past we only won 3, 5, or 7 games" rhetoric. This is now, not then and the data and facts speak for themselves in the current times. Yes, we are grateful for an 11 win season because that's a hard thing to do but my god if you can't see the issues and want to ignore it, be my guest. If winning every game except the important out of conference games is good enough for you, then awesome, you had a perfect season. But most of us expect better from our coaches when they're given a Ferrari of a program at this point. Before, when we lost during our glory days playoff runs, I knew I could keep my head high because I knew our guys and coaches gave it all they had and it just wasn't their night. But these last 2 seasons, it's been more of "### are we doing? Why do we look like we didn't even learn, practice, or scheme anything?" That's the befuddling issue here when we are supposedly flooded with top 10 talent on this roster.
It's just starting to feel like we are going into a Mark Richt with Georgia era here. Which isn't bad but you know you can achieve better with what you have available.
I'm not upset that we lost those 3 games this year. I'm upset as to how we lost those games if that makes sense. If we had at least looked competent in the ND or Coot game, I wouldn't be irritated about it. If we had an gameplan with an offensive identity going into this Orange Bowl, I wouldn't be irritated about it.
And for your TNet handle to be "Reality", there's your little taste of it.

This year's team isn't a Ferrari. Denying it doesn't make it less true.

No but the program is by far ahead of most in terms of resources and talent availability. That's what I meant. This team majorly underperformed in aspects that were supposed to be a strength, like the defense at times. Wide receivers are underwhelming. Offensive line looks offensive in games where the talent and size is equalized. I think the only thing that carried over from last years limited success was the running backs still being really good. That's really it.

Not really. Five or six years ago, yeah. Now, no. Other schools are catching up in facilities. The talent is good, but not great. The meat of this program has been elite quarterbacks and receivers. We are no longer elite at those areas, and that's the difference between 14-0 and 11-3.

This is the same ignorance that always rears its head.
It's ok to yell "The sky is falling!" when it truly is crashing to earth...like the football team's run of recent dominance.
Real changes need to be made to have a hope of seeing those days again.
You just can't explain that to sheep.

This board is full of negative people looking for vindication from other negative people. It’s a sickening loser mentality. Whatever gets your rocks off.
I never thought I would see this board get this bad, especially after a solid season and so much promise for the future. You guys do you. Enjoy wallowing in misery.
