And, I have to agree with the playoff committee. Watching Clemson in person vs TV shows the dysfunction of the offense. Miami continuously walked 7-8 into box while playing zero coverage on our receivers. DJ never once made an audible to throw a 50/50 ball with NO safeties to our wideouts. He opted to keep the called run play and most of the time never pulled the ball when the end crashed. He did a few times. But, he made the wrong read over and over. Every game I have watched in person, the same thing happens. The middle of the field was almost always wide open. Receivers start out fighting hard to get open. They rarely get rewarded and route running becomes lack luster as the game goes on. Who can blame them?! DJ seemed to make the wrong adjustments for protection too. Maybe put the pre snap protection calls on someone else?!
If we miraculously make the playoff, we will get embarrassed. Period. I want to be wrong. I want to see the DJ we were promised. The Heisman contender. We have a better chance of winning the powerball lottery. Teams with elite defense make DJ look like a high school QB.
I’m happy to take a big 6 bowl and wait for the development of Klubnik. The Orange Bowl vs Alabama would be great.
Before you call me a coot, I always park in Rogers Lot 5 (pictures of parking passes available with blurred number upon request) and pickup tailgating package two (with a few pounds of brisket added) from the Smoking Pig in Easley. I have been a Tiger fanatic since 1974 when I was old enough to understand what football is. Not to mention you can hear the fans grumble after most plays DJ runs in the valley. I think most are starting to lose patience and faith in the kid. I don’t hate DJ, I think he’s a great kid and ambassador for Clemson football. I do believe his only shot at the NFL is to become a tight end. I just feel on the sample size given he is a 5* bust.
That said, Goooo Tigers!! Win them all and prove me wrong!

I said before the first poll that the committee goes by gut feeling and then tries to find a way to justify it. That being said there is no way to justify LSU being in the top 10 if you take the WHOLE season into account.

Yes, they should be there using the "eye test" if you ignore the first half of the season. Does this mean for some teams the beginning of the season is irrelevant? LSU not only lost 2 games, but basically lost 2 Home games. I know that one was neutral site, but how neutral is the Superdome?

They were not sniffing the top 25 after the Tennessee loss. In Week 7 LSU did not receive a single vote for the AP poll. In the coaches poll they received 5 points, which for perspective was less than a quarter of the points that South Carolina received. They didn't return to the top 25 until week 9 and have since rocketed up the polls. Why? Because they could potentially win the SEC championship and it is an unwritten rule that comes with an automatic bid to the CFP.

Alabama could actually make a good argument that they deserve to be higher than LSU, and Tennessee certainly could. However, neither can win the SEC, so they are not allowed to be ranked higher. Alabama has lost 2 games in hostile environments on the last play. Yes one was to LSU, but the head to head rule is not relevant unless it is convenient for the Committee. It's simple, 40-13. That was the butt kicking that LSU took to Tennessee in Baton Rouge.

To this point LSU has played 3 away games. They beat Auburn 21-17. They beat Florida, who just lost to Vanderbilt, 45-35. Finally, they beat Arkansas with a back up QB, 13-10. Somehow, I just am not impressed.

Will the Committee please just admit that they are not allowed to dismiss anyone that could win the SEC? There just is not an argument to be made that LSU deserves to be ranked where they are. If LSU loses to A&M this weekend, they may only drop to 7th or 8th so that the Committee can make some stupid argument for them just in case they beat Georgia.

Oh yeah. I agree with the Clemson media poll rather than the Committee.
