Are you out of your mind? You must be a newborn. Fire Dabo and wander in the wilderness for the next decade as we did after Danny Ford was fired.

I believe Elliott will ultimately be fired by UVA, but it would be "bad optics" for them to fire him now.

Tony took down a decent program because he thought he better than everyone else, I like Tony but he misplayed his first year big time.

Brent Venables is safe for 2 years, after that if he is struggling then he might be on the hot seat. But, I see nothing but success at Oklahoma!

Going into the SEC next year won't make his job any easier. Keep in mind he was suppose to open against UGA this season until the SEC put the kibosh on it. I think if he makes a bowl this year they will stick with him considering how bare the cupboard was when Linconln Riley left.

Jimbo Fisher already has his luggage packed and looking to sell his house. Loss to Miami wasn’t horrible, but it’s another loss for Jimbo. In a season where he’s on the hot seat.
Dino Babers is interesting. He has had that program pretty relevant usually early in seasons. But when they get to ACC, they fold. They were too-15 and undefeated against Clemson last year, and almost won. They look like they can really score this year, against mid major and low tier opponents.
And of course Brent. It looks optimistic for a turn around, but still a lot to be proven for Brent this year. Oklahoma is very quick with these coaches. They’ll get an another guy in there in a heartbeat. I really see program momentum there. But with Texas now, it’ll be tough. Would never mind him returning to where his best work was done.

Every year Jimbo is at A&M that buyout shrinks. His departure date will depend on when a consistent coach listens to their offer or when an up and comer proves himself. I consider A&M an open job looking for a candidate.

Well personally I think if Jimbo suddenly became consistent during THIS season, likely not another chance after this season, then A&M probably sticks to him.
An open job is not a job that has a coach. Jimbo is already their chosen option, and if he continued well from here, he’d be the option next year.
Hard to deny his recruiting ability with everything around him.

Depends how this season goes for Riley. Texas A&M is the type of rabid fan base that would dookie can Jimbo for Coach Prime at the end of the year if Colorado has any kind of successful season. The lunacy in Columbia and Central don't hold a candle to those crazy bastidges.

What are you talking about? Oklahoma has had 3 coaches in the past 24 years. None of them was fired.

Here's a year-by-year breakdown of Jimbo Fisher's buyout at Texas A&M if the Aggies were to fire him in the season:
2023: $76.8 million 2024: $67.55 million 2025: $58.2 million 2026: $48.75 million 2027: $39.2 million 2028: $29.55 million 2029: $19.8 million 2030: $9.95 million

Dabo may have some openings of his own coming up. Coach Hall moves up to the booth to help defensive calls and Coach Conn now to the sidelines (to stay out of the way?).

Jimbo's seat is absolutely hot, but the $76 million left on his contract is a pretty big pill to swallow, even for the Aggie rich. Here's the question: How badly do Aggie boosters want to win the SEC?
