Cade is going to be good…but that UNC game was a perfect storm

UNC pass defense is 114 out of 131….and they practiced and prepared for us to run all day….Cade makes our offense MUCH better but I think there is going to be some rocky times ahead…

No……… He played great.
Yes the Tar Heel defense isn’t that good…… But remember…… Cade got zero reps with the first team all year until that week. No wonder he didn’t look Consistently good when he played this year. I am more amazed at how good he looked in a championship game environment with very little time with first team players. He’s far from perfect and was a bit late on a few throws but he’s got it… And you know it when you see it

being a GREAT quarterback at Clemson. Get the man some real weapons, a strong, stable offensive line, and watch him blow the doors off the ACC, the coots, and CFP.

He was a 5-star QB for a reason.
TN defense isn't much better.
We will have more time to prepare Cade as well; so your point about the quality of the opponents defense isn't as strong i.m.o. Why? Because, even if TN had a great defense, we have 3-weeks to prep for it.
And, he is a 5-star QB for a reason.
In short, we will be all right man!

I don't think Tennessee's defense is that good. Coots scored 63 on them. Cade has done well against defenses that aren't great. I think he'll do fine. He just needs experience. He needs reps with the first team. He'll have to get ready for the better defenses, but he'll have time to do that.

They gave up 287 passing yards/game this season. Rushing defense is their strength by far. Expect us to air it out in Miami. I think Cade will do just fine if the OL does their job.

We’d been in bad storm offensively for two years prior Cade getting meaningful playing time against UNC. This is on our coaches, who looked like buffoons for not starting him sooner. We finally have a spark with the whole team and an offense that looks balanced and competent offensively. Don’t rain on our parade of hope, give him an honest chance. He’ll be fine.

Dabo & Streeter both say they have no regrets over not playing Cade against Poultry...what are they supposed to say, `yeah we were stupid and a real QB would have won that game`! They have ego and image and don't want to look foolish! The fans sure have regrets over losing and over them looking foolish...now let's all move on!
