Chain restaraunt that would be a hit in Clemson?
Jun 30, 2016, 8:22 PM
|
|
Little bit of an opposite question as the defunct Clemson businesses one. What current restaraunt chain would be a really good addition to Clemson? Non-chains are the best but sometimes it's nice to know what you're getting at a chain.

The Chickfila in Clemson could open another store literally right next door and both of them would still have plenty of business. That's how crazy the Chickfila gets around here.

In N Out is phenomenal. What other fast food chain uses fresh ingredients? I saw them slicing tomatoes in the store when I was in Dallas a while back.

I think it's a touch worse than In N Out though. That chain is tiny though. If really got into the best burgers in So Cal there are dozens better than both of those places actually. I just know people wouldn't know most of them. I like Umami Burger better too. That said, In N Out is a huge chain though.

Carabbas would be good but do you think they would generate enough business when football is over ? Many college students could not eat there often.

They are a chain that grew a bit too fast and got themselves in a bit of financial difficulty, but the concept is great and would appeal to the students and residents.
Actually, I think it would do well in most college towns, and if I were CEO I would create a strategy to target these areas.

However their owner--at least at their West Ashley location--is a SCar fan. I doubt you'd see them set up shop in Clemson anytime soon.
My vote is for Five Guys.
