They could and should. There's absolutely no reason any major sport at Clemson shouldn't be able to compete for conference championships year after year.

The point of my OP is that the ACC is wide open in basketball now, but our coach has proven for a decade and a half that he is not a post season coach. ITS TIME FOR A CHANGE.

This part! Creighton is elite for crying out loud! I’m sick of this “we can’t do it” point of view. So glad the football program didn’t suffer from this sad groupthink. Tommy Bowden would still be coaching and Clemson football would be mediocre at best. It starts with the coach and ends with investment in facilities and recruiting. Those items (coaching plus facilities and recruiting) equals program success. Can’t have success without a great coach. Can’t draw recruits without a visionary coach and best facilities available. Can’t win it all with three and no star recruits.
