I think a lot of people overreacted because of the Kennesaw State game. Now yes, that was a really bad game. But it was one game. Games like that tend to happen every now and then in baseball, it's a flukey sport. And Clemson still won the series. The great thing after today's result is that Clemson has now won all of its nonconference series this season, including the South Carolina series. The Tigers have won all the midweek games thus far, too. You'll remember this was not the case last year, with a series loss to South Carolina, an infamous sweep by UCF, and a midweek loss to USC Upstate. Obviously, the Tigers more than atoned for their poor start last year with the red-hot finish, but it's still preferable to have a good start, of course. Clemson should be very well positioned now to start conference play.

My apologies, the non-conference slate is NOT over as I erroneously stated. The Tigers still have a series with UNC Greensboro next weekend before conference play begins.

I put zero credence in this whacky rpi for baseball or softball. Especially this early in the season. Looks pretty cool to have Clemson #1 , but yesterday we were 39th. Florida jumped 135 spots.
We won't know for another month or so how good a team we can be. We're still showing ugly tendencies to have bad ABs. Remember last year how everyone ooh and awed over coot numbers because they were hitting a lot of homers until they started playing good pitching?
Not enough time to get a feel for our pitching. It looks highly suspect now. We don't have a closer and that's not good. We haven't faced good enough pitching yet to know if we're a good hitting team or not.

..listen to (I guess I am in the minority and really have no bad or good opinion of Munson, he's fine). I can't watch them because I am out of the country.
Hopefully it will continue, and I am sorry to be negative as I wait for basketball to let me down. Man, I hate typing this, and I hope to eat crow, but I can't help feeling that way.
