We made the drive to Athens for tonight's game between the Tigers and Bulldogs. Interesting lineup for the Tigers....

This is the first time since early last season that Cannarella has hit anywhere other than leadoff. At least in my memory.

The PA announcer calls Alden Mathes "Aidan" and we are off and running. Mathes hits the first pitch to deep left-center for the first out. Hinderleider swings through a fastball for strike three and the second out. Harris, the Georgia starter, has hit 95 a few times. Easy gas. Blake Wright hits a liner that Harris gets a glove on, but it bounds out to second and he's thrown out at first for the third out. M1 || Clemson 0, Georgia 0

The leadoff hitter for the Bulldogs works a full count, but Barlow induces a high chopper to short (on the second base side of the bag) for the first out. Barlow goes to 3-2 on national home run leader Charlie Condon, but goes off speed to strike him out for the second out. Corey Collins hits a frozen rope that Crighton knocks down, and Crighton wins the race to the bag for the third out. Would love to know the exit velo on that one E1 || Clemson 0, Georgia 0

Awful for this level. It landed in that tree and the tree is inside the foul line and it didn't go.over tbe top of the pole. Stupid SEC. Of Georgia does have the lowest graduation rate of all Power 5 schools so stupid breeds there! It's been that way forever, just listen to Hershel talk to remove all doubt!!

I think that it looked fair to about everyone but the ump, but most of them are blind anyway. Have we not noticed how wide and low the strike zone has been in some of these games we've played in, but the strike zone is usually that wide and low for our opposing pitchers!!!

Obertop swings through strike three, it gets past the catcher but Obertop is erased on the throw to first. Cannarella hits a high chopper and is thrown out at first for the second out. Harris has hit 97 this inning. He is 3-0 but an ERA of 9.49. Tigers have been better the second time through the lineup so we will see how they adjust. Purify hits one down the left field line that is ruled foul. The third base umpire didn't hesitate and was quite adamant on the call but it's reviewed. The review says the call stands. Purify eventually draws a walk for the first baserunner of the game. Purify steals second and throw goes into center, and he pops up and takes third. Crighton hits one to deep short and is thrown out by a step to end the frame. M2 || Clemson 0, Georgia 0

Brnach takes second on the bad throw. Marant struck out swinging for the second out. Paul Toetz works the count to 3-2 and lines a single up the middle to score Branch for the game's first run. Bissetta leads of the third with a sharp single to left-center. It gets into the gap but the left fielder slides and cuts it off, holding Tristan to one base. Nathan Hall hits a grounder to shortstop, and he steps on the bag for one and throws to first to complete the double play and erase Bissetta. Mathes smokes a single to right - Tigers hitting Harris hard now. Hinderleider hits an 0-1 pitch down the line in right, and it one-hops the wall. It was hit so hard that Mathes has no chance to score, putting both runners in scoring position. The Dawgs make a pitching change and bring in senior righty Josh Roberge. Wright greets Roberge with a long shot to right, where the RF, Goldstein, drops it as he crashes into the wall. Wright makes it to third, both runners score. Wright was emphatic as he reached third. Obertop flies to right to end the inning, but the Tigers take the lead. M3 || Clemson 2, Georgia 1

Gonzalez is hit by a pitch to lead off the bottom of the third. Condon and his 26 homers walk to the plate, but he hits into a double play to end the frame. Cannarella leads off the 4th with a bomb to right-center, his 7th of the season. Purify was hit by a pitch, Cirghton lines out for the first out.
