If Clemson wins the ACC regular season basketball...

championship, but misses the NCAA Tournament, would that be the first time the regular season champion has not made the tournament?
I hope something like this doesn't happen.

We have got to defeat VA, NC, and NC State on the road and Miami at home. The way we have played last couple of games I don’t think there is any danger in that. We have to hope we don’t lose any more Quad 3 teams that have losing records such as BC to have a chance to qualify for NCAA Tournament

went from paper thin to hanging by a thread with a snowball's chance in He!!.
On that basis, at this point, I am more concerned about making the NCAA Tournament than finishing the regular season on top of the standings. I'd be happy with a top four finish and a double bye in the conference tournament.

I totally agree with you. As proud as I am on how we've played the majority of this season, I'm certainly not certain of anything with the nagging injuries we've had, or that we may continue to have.

I tire of teeth marks on pencils at the public library, one fowl individual once chewed the eraser off of every single last one in the can of pencils, then bit the metal part so you could not get a new eraser in there.

I think you know the answer. Back in the day, a team had to win the ACC tournament to go to the dance.
The ##### not only won the '69-'70 regular season, but were 14-0 in league play. John Roche got injured in the tournament and the Coots lost a close one to NCSU.
The next year, the Coots were second in the ACC regular season, but upset the UNC cheats in the ACC tournament to go to the dance.
I suspect it happened multiple other times, but I definitely remember the misery of the ##### in '69-'70 when arguably they were perhaps the best or one of the two best teams in the country.
If by some chance we take the regular season, we WILL go to the dance.
