No. DJ could not run and missed too many passes. Do you remember when he shuttled a pass to Pitt and they ran a TD? Fumbled on the 1 to Syracuse and they scooped and scored from 99 yards out. Gamecocks were sad to see him leave.

CK is better. Cole also has very little experience. Dabo should have benched DJ and broke Cade in last year. Had he done that, despite the rest of the crap, we would be on a natty hunt.

ACC championship game would have been lost with DJ but Freshman Cade saved the day. DJ set our program back 2 years maybe 3. Receivers would not come with him here. I do like the old Clemson offense better. Had more motion and eye candy

Right now? Probably DJ, and that’s ok to say. He’s got a full season more of experience. It’s close though.
After the first 6 games of 2021, we were also 4-2. DJ shat the bed against UGA and was blah in the next 5 games, also losing to NC State.
DJ= 4 TD/3 INT’s, but much more involved in the running game.
Cade= 11/2 (w/ fumbling/handoff issues)
All of that to say, I’d probably lean Cade’s performance 6 games in. (DJ’s freshman year was way better though)
The vibe was definitely more panicked 6 games into DJ’s tenure as I recall.
Cade scares me a lot, but DJ infuriated me even more.
I often worry that Cade just isn’t the guy, same as DJ, but he will get a longer leash. Probably…we’ll see.

DJ isn’t our QB, so it’s a mute point, we have a great QB who will only get better and he has “IT” from a drive & leadership standpoint.
He’s only going to get much much better, better WR’s will help tooo. Or more experience…….
