Wondering if the coaches are holding him back or if he’s not quite ready for the stage yet? Watching LSU qb who’s a freshman look comfortable really shows how much DJ seemed to have happy feet in the pocket today. I’m sure he’ll settle down but as good as he was in high school I was kind of surprised to see that

Once DJ gets the reps with the starters on the field I think he'll be fine.
That series early against Miami didn't look bad - good run and a late pass due to a poor snap.

I wish we would just run our complete offense when he comes in the game.

You aren’t the only one. That’s what worries me most if Trevor leaves. Most of DJs plays seem to be either him running the ball or handing the ball off. I don’t consider it running up the score if you have the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th stringers in. Also it would definitely help out the WRs too cause lord knows it’s an all hands on deck with them.

Yeah, the gimmick BS we run with him isn't going to pay off

developmentally, it's more likely to just get him hurt and then he can't play the next week versus a team that he would have gotten an entire quarter in...We need him game ready, he's going to get his first start VS UGA on the road next year...That's a real challenge

I’m guessing DJ would look much different with 2 weeks to prepare as the starter and playing with our 1st team offense.

DJ gets to throw to Will Swinney and Will Brown. No one at wideout that can really stretch the field and make use of that arm of his.

That is a very true statement. I can’t remember who he was throwing to on a short crossing route but it looked like it went in the dirt behind him? And he just never seemed to set his feet. Looked very uncomfortable but I’m no coach

I thought he looked great in the Miami game. The play he made to catch the high snap and fling it off balance about 50 yards was awesome. However, I suspect something happened on one of the runs he made after that because he never came back In and didn’t play last week. Team announced he had a tight shoulder last week. I noticed today he had a patch or bandage under his right shoulder pad. Wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t hurt shoulder worse than we know. Hope that’s not the case. As someone who’s had 5 shoulder surgeries, they are no fun. Good news is he threw a couple go passes today. One would assume that coaches wouldn’t let him throw if it was something serious.
