Don't worry about at FSU
Jun 24, 2016, 9:10 AM
|

We all watched DW his freshman year go out and dominate them. Just have to finish in the redzone and limit TOs. We should beat them easily. They do have Cook and some good WRs but no QB. Their D cannot stop us. Nobody had a D that can stop us. Our D will force some TOs and get some 3rd and longs and rack up the sacks!

at FSU 2012, up 2 TDs in the 3rd. Then, special teams....

Kick returns killed us (sound familiar?) and the momentum went all the way to the Criminoles.
Unless we fix special teams, specifically our kick coverage, it's never a done deal against good teams. The Tide (ahem) can turn in a second.

I'll admit it's not a tough to win at FSU as the visitors as it is at our house.

It is very hard to win at FSU. We are just better this year. We are better all around. Have a better QB better in the trenches. They may have an edge at DBs most likely but that is it. Running back they have Dalvin but Wayne Train is a beast.

I think that they're going to give us a giant challenge. Confidence is good, but you might want to reign it in a bit. They're going to be good...again.

I am a big a Clemson fan as the next man on here but let's be open minded here for a minute. FSU has a really good, big, and athletic defense coming back. DE DeMarcus Walker (for some reason didn't want to go into the draft) is a disruptive player and right behind him is the talented Featherston. Their other two lineman aren't scrubs either in Christmas and Nnadi....Josh Sweat will be a player to watch at their LB position...They secondary is loaded with guys with experience...Seniors Nate Andrews and Marquez White return, but their main attraction in the secondary is Derwin James...kid is a monster...
I like our chances because of our QB...Ill take him and the Tigers over anyone...FSU will be a really good test for us

Featherstone is finished playing football (medial DQ). Sweat is a WDE. FSU's roster has a plethora of talent and their RSFr QB Deondre Francois looks to be the frontrunner for the starting job.

They will be a great challenge. That being said they are not much different than last year and we played poor against them and won. Houston showed that a skill offense can work their D. Though FSU didn't look to have shown up that game. They are a great team I am not disrespecting them but what DW did down there his freshman year if CJ wouldn't have fumble not saying it's all his fault but we would have won. DW is now a Junior and will pick apart any D.

LOL. It was extremely hard last year at home and

will be again.
If FSU, develops a mobile QB who can produce, and that's a big if, it will be crazy hard to beat them.
Heck, it was a battle last year, with an immobile QB, and with FSU having tons of penalties. I know the crowd contributed to many of the penalties but we won't have that this year.

We didn't finish I. THE redzone and played poorly in the first half. We should have won by more. It will be a test but I will not worry with DW at the helm.

We weren't finishing drives because we were starting all of them inside our own 10 yard line. It's hard to drive 90 yards against a very good defense. It will be even more difficult on the road if we find ourselves in that situation again. Special teams definitely needs to improve.

So FSU is getting worse, in your mind? Have you seen their roster? It will be a dog fight. It's NEVER an "EASY W" when referring to FSU. And Jimbo is still their HC.

Never said that. I do not think they are better than they were 3 years ago and I believe we are. We will win easily. It will be hard fought but we pull away in the second half. They cannot keep up. I know they have talent and will put up a fight. They lost to GT and Houston last year. We better beat them by 2 TDs.

that went undefeated, beat us by 200, and won the national title? That team was probably better than any they put on the field in the 80s and 90s.

I wouldn't even start him but we will see. Idk why Jimbo sticks with him as much as he has. I hope he doesn't start against us. I want our D to prove they belong. That being said DW will out score them if he has to and we all know it. I'm telling you guys we will start to dominate in the second half. We have the best strength and conditioning in the country.

Because he is the perfect boring drop back heave it up only to short and intermediate routes QB that they love in their outdated Pro-Style attack...
Why other teams aren't transitioning over to the spread is beyond me

Yes Jimbo needs to change the O up a little bit. Dalvin will run over most teams but if we stay discipline we will stuff the line on them. Just do not need to give up a big run like last year. We have to make them throw and they haven't shown me much when they can't run the ball.

"Outdated pro-style attack"? The reason why there aren't more teams transitioning to the spread gimmick is because it doesn't translate to the NFL.

Kid came from IMG Academy. He will likely make our D earn the win if he's out there. We'll likely know by their 3rd game vs Louisville. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KP7znaB3Yog Watch his spring

Very very impressive!! He should already be named the starter after that! He may make our D work. I still think as a whole team they cannot keep up with us. They showed last year. They showed against Houston. We are more of a team and we have more heart and better conditioning.

I'm hanging my hat on the home crowd, but if we make the transition at QB we could be good a few years running. Maybe not 2013 FSU or 2015 Clemson good, but good.
