The Athletic's updated Clemson bowl projection

The Athletic ($) is picking the Riley brothers bowl in San Diego with a Clemson-USC matchup in the Holiday Bowl, pitting Garrett Riley versus Lincoln Riley.

The projection also is on the UNC-Tennessee track that many other outlets are for the Gator Bowl. The Athletic sends Oregon State to an ACC matchup in the Sun Bowl versus Miami.

The bowls will all be announced in the afternoon on December 3.

Their defense is abysmal, our defense should handle their offense. Caleb Williams might sit out of this one, which could be a huge advantage for us.

What a matchup, Clemson offense v USC defense

That might be a nice matchup to get some confidence heading into the 2024 season for Cade and some of the younger receivers.

USC may have the worst defense in all of football. My hope is if this matchup happens, our Tigers can score plenty and whatever defensive players actually play can shut down their backup QB since Caleb Williams will not be playing.

Fun matchup, better than Oregon State. Clemson a national level east coast team against USC the west coast national level team sounds really good to everyone who knows football.
